Objectives:

The objectives of Maths Club include the following aims to achieve:
⚫   Promoting Interest in Mathematics: Encouragement of students to develop a genuine interest in   mathematics by making it engaging and enjoyable.
⚫  Enhancing Problem-Solving Skills:  to provide opportunities for students to practice and improve their problem-solving abilities through challenging math problems and puzzles.
⚫  Exploring Advanced Topics: to introduce  students with advanced mathematical concepts and topics that go beyond the standard curriculum to stimulate curiosity.
⚫   Fostering a Maths Community: to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can collaborate, share their passion for maths, and learn from one another.
⚫ Participation in Competitions: to prepare and motivate students to participate in math competitions, both at the school and external levels.
⚫ Guest Speakers and Workshops: to invite guest speakers or organize workshops to expose students to real-world applications of mathematics and careers in math-related fields.
⚫  Maths Enrichment: to provide additional resources and materials to enrich students’ mathematical knowledge and skills.
⚫  Leadership and Teamwork: to encourage leadership, development and teamwork among club members through group activities and projects.
⚫  Community Outreach: to engage in maths-related community service or outreach activities to demonstrate the practicality and relevance of mathematics in everyday life.
⚫  Building Confidence: to boost up students’ confidence in their math abilities and helping them overcome maths-related challenges.
These objectives aim to create a well-rounded maths club experience that not only strengthens mathematical skills but also fosters a love for mathematics and its applications.

Activities Done:

      Students recorded a video of themselves explaining a vedic maths trick.

2. Story telling activity using CPA (Concrete Pictorial Approach)

   Students were told to portray any topic of Maths in the form of a story. It creates interest in   students and helps them to learn the topic in a creative manner. Story telling activity used CPA was referred by NEP. 

3. Maths Trivia Triumph Quiz

    The quiz was conducted on 4th July, 2023 to welcome back the students after holidays. It was an intellectual challenge that checked their mathematical knowledge and problem solving skills. It was a 4 tier activity.

4. Geeky Number Fest

    Students of classes 2-12 participated in this activity in which students from all the sections of each class were chosen and were sent for this competition. In the first round, students were asked the straight tables and the selected students further went for the second round of dodging tables.

Vaibhav’s dedication to learning mathematics is commendable. He knows the tables upto 2- 100 , which shows a strong grasp of mathematical fundamentals.
