Guidelines for Parents

Parents must read the content carefully and abide by all the rules, regulations, instructions and guidelines mentioned herein. 

Parents/guardians/siblings etc. are not allowed to visit the child or teachers in the classroom during school hours as this hampers the process of learning. In case of an emergency, parents must seek written permission from the wing incharge/ the Principal.  

Regular PTMs are organised to discuss the child's progress and other concerns. Other than PTMs, parents are required to seek prior appointment from the concerned head/the Principal to meet the teacher/s through HOME-SCHOOL COMMUNICATION page of the almanac.

Visiting school campus other than for the purpose of pick up and drop of a child, within scheduled school timings, is not allowed. Relatives, friends, visitors other than the concerned parents are not allowed to enter the school campus.

To maintain the decorum of the school, parents shall visit the school premises in presentable attires. Knickers, track pants, night wears, gowns, bathroom slippers etc. should be avoided.

Driving/Riding a vehicle beyond the parking lot, near main gate, is strictly prohibited. 

Parents must ensure their child's immediate home coming after the school. The child must not wander unnecessarily.

Parents must avoid bringing four-wheelers to pick up and drop their child to avoid traffic-jam. Use of two-wheelers is recommended and appreciated. It is further requested to adhere to the instructions of teachers and school staff who manage traffic at dispersal time.

Parents must provide required documents, certificates and photos etc. in time, as and when required by the school.

Parents are required to submit a written application in the name of the Principal through the class teacher for any required document/s, countersigning of document/s for competitive-exams/admissions/jobs/ or any other purposes; certificates including, but not limited to TC (Transfer Certificate)/ SLC (School Leaving Certificate), Tuition Fee Certificate, Character Certificate, Provisional Marksheet etc. must be requested at least 07 working days beforehand. On the spot requests shall not be obliged in any case.

Parents shall inform the class teacher about any change in their address and contact number within 07 days of any such occurrence.

Parents shall not claim or dictate on matters of admission, allotment of sections/streams/ transport, dismissal and promotion of a student.

Birth Certificate submitted at the time of admission shall not be changed later on any grounds.

A child's educational journey is a joint venture of parents and teachers. Parents are expected to infuse respect and obedience in their children towards teachers, staff and school authorities.

Parents shall not intervene in the matters of inclusion of their child in scholastic and co-scholastic events, clubs, camps, inter and intra-school competitions, development teams etc. as such selections are either random or solely based on merit and remain wholly unbiased.

Parents are requested to send a wholesome, vegetarian, healthy lunch along with a towel in the morning. The school shall not allow the parents to bring/send lunch box during school hours. 

It is advised that every article should bear the child's name and the child should be instructed to take care of all belongings. The school shall not be liable to compensate in case of any loss or damage.

Parents may convey their concerns to the teachers through the Home-School Communication page instead of communicating with other parents through social media. Also, parents must check this section daily and countersign the remarks made by teacher/s, if any. 

Parents must refrain from lambasting teachers and school before the child as the child may lose respect for the teachers. The child should be encouraged to be respectful towards the school community.

Every child must secure at least 75% of the total attendance, failing which he/she shall be debarred from taking the examination.

Repeated absence without a notice or unexplained absence without a written application for more than five consecutive days, renders the student liable to have his name struck off from the rolls. Re-admission is not automatic but at the sole discretion of the Principal on payment of prescribed re-admission fee of 2,500/-, which shall remain non-refundable and non-adjustable.

Half day leave is strongly discouraged. Only in case of a grave emergency, either of the parents can pick the child from school with written permission from the Principal/ the wing incharge.

Parents must ensure that the child does not carry mobile phone, tablet, laptop, money/cash (not more than    50/-), other prohibited items as mentioned in the Code of Student Conduct.

Parents must ensure the abidance of the Code of Student Conduct in this almanac and all other rules, regulations and instructions given by teachers/school authorities on their child's part.

Parents must be vigilant about the child's online activities. Cyber bullying, visiting adult or other unwanted sites, sending undesirable messages to fellow students or teachers or others etc. can lead to child's expulsion from the school and invite serious legal implications under IT act.

Students, under the age of 18 years, should not have a Facebook, Instagram or other social media account as this may be misused.  Creation of groups/Harassment/Intimidation/ Misuse/ Undesired proposals and/or messages to fellow students, teachers etc. on any social media platform shall lead to strict disciplinary action against the child.

Parents or students must not start or subscribe to WhatsApp/Facebook/ any other social media group with other parents or students, without written permission from the Principal, in any case. This may lead to expulsion of the child from school with negative Conduct Certificate.

Parents must not be a part of any social media group or platform which mutilates the image and reputation of the school. This shall lead to the child's expulsion from the school.

Safety of children is our foremost concern. Any potential weapon (licensed or unlicensed)/drug related item (unless medically prescribed with proof provided)/ untoward picture or book or magazine/ jewellery/ accessory/ firecracker/ lighter or matchbox/mobile phone/ CD/ I-Pod/ pen drive/ tablet/ laptop/ blade/ cutter/ knife etc. is strictly not allowed in the school campus.

School takes precautions for the kids but in case any accident or any unforeseen incident takes place, the sole responsibility regarding the safety of the child lies with the parents.

Neither the management nor the teachers nor the Principal shall be responsible for the safety of the children on their way from home to school and vice-versa. 

If a child falls sick and/or gets hurt/ injured/meets with an accident in the school or on school conveyance or on excursions etc., the school shall provide First-aid to the child. The parents must responsibly pick their child for further treatment. School shall not bear any cost or expense.

The school fee does not include any medical or insurance charges.

Strict action shall be taken against parents/guardians if they misbehave/argue or use verbal intimidation with the school authorities/the teachers/the staff. This may result in expulsion of the child from school.

Parents must ensure regular and timely deposition of their child's school fee, transport fee and other dues. The fee reminders sent by the bank and teachers shall be no reason to feel offended.

Before applying for admission, parents must ensure that they could exclusively bear ten to fifteen percent hike in fee and dues annually and other expenses of school uniform, books, stationery etc.

Parents are expected to restrict birthday celebration of their child in school to simple distribution of candies. Elaborate arrangements like cake cutting etc. are not permitted. 

Gifting or presenting any item to any teacher or staff or any stakeholder is strictly prohibited.

Photographs and videos of students, their parents or guardians could be used in school brochures, forms, advertisements, promotional material, website, posters etc. without any intimation and/or renumeration.

Parents and students must abide by all the Fee rules, School Transport rules, Library rules, Code of Student Conduct, Guidelines for Parents and all other rules and regulations.

The school reserves rights to amend/update/add any rules and regulations, guidelines with or without prior notice.

In any case, decision of the Principal shall be final and binding.

Additional Instructions for Pre-Primary Classes

A child must be dropped in the class in the presence of the class teacher only, 10 minutes before the class, and picked up within 10 minutes after the class. Parents must leave the campus immediately after pick up and drop of the child.

For the safety of students and effective management of other student activities, parents are not allowed to enter the campus to pick up their child earlier than 05 minutes prior to the dispersal time.

The child should be sent with a healthy lunch, a water bottle, a napkin, extra underpants and a handkerchief. All belongings must be properly labelled.

Parents should inculcate cleanliness habits in their child and train him to answer the call of nature (Toilet Training).
