Our Montessori classrooms have beautifully crafted environment designed to meet the needs of children in a specific age range.
Here, the learning is based on self-directed activities and collaborative play.
Children at Shiva make creative choices in their learning, while the classroom and the highly trained teachers offer age-appropriate activities to guide the process. They work in groups as well as individually to discover and explore knowledge of the world and to develop their maximum potential.
The teachers practise different methodologies for the overall development of the children.
Here is a glimpse of learning that takes place in Pre-primary classrooms of Shiva.
1) Play-way Method: Activities like show and tell, puzzle games, vocabulary tree make children learn to cooperate and help each other while playing.
2) Demonstrative method: Our expert Teachers provide students with experiences of real events, phenomena and processes, helping them learn and raise their interest and motivation.
3) Reggio Emilia Approach: We facilitate the children’s learning by planning activities(If I could be..., The moon and the Stars, Light and Leaves) and lessons based on the children’s interest, asking questions to further understanding and actively engaging in the activities, instead of passively observing the children learning.
